I can’t remember exactly how I came across Gabrielle Bernstein, but I all I know is that I am so glad I did.
A personal coach, motivational speaker and a New York Times best-selling author who has been named a “new thought leader” by Oprah Winfrey, and in 2009 was featured in the New York Times as a “guru” for the next generation. Gabby teaches a practical application of A Course in Miracles‘ principles emphasising self-love, forgiveness, and a holistic approach to spirituality.
In her latest book, Miracles Now she has picked 108 techniques to combat the most common problems – from fear and anxiety to burnout and fatigue. She breaks down each technique in her signature ‘Spirit Junkie’ style – with meditations, assessment questions and step-by-step guidance – while incorporating lessons from A Course in Miracles in order to help readers burst through emotional blocks to live with more peace and ease.
I was fortunate enough to attend Gabby’s one day workshop held at Regent’s Park Campus in London last Saturday. Entitled ‘Your Presence is Your Power’, Gabrielle asked key questions such as how do we block our inner power, what does it feel like to disconnect from your inner power, and crucially – what does it feel like to be in the presence of your inner power? The discussion covered differentiating between the ego and your authentic self, and learning to trust your inner guide. She offered techniques to help connect to this inner strength, and also how to recognise when the ego is getting in the way. The guided mediations were just amazing – extremely effective at bringing about a deep sense of peace, and highly motivational to go deeper into ones’ meditation practice.
An avid vlogger, her snippets of insight and advice on an array on topics and questions on YouTube are a must watch. Gabby’s website gabbyb.tv, where she also offers free guided meditations is chock-full of content. Do yourself a favour and check it out!
